Weight 900 lbs
Height 10 feet
Scientific Name Mammoutha tuskin
Classification Prehistorae
Description
Muffalo are recently-discovered Verpets that are similar to small mammoths. Both genders sport two large pairs of tusks, and have thick, wooly fur that covers their eyes. Other than their size, the most distinguishing features on Muffalo are their stripes, which are most noticeable on the face.
Behavior
Because no single predator can bring down a Muffalo, they are relaxed and not easily scared. Muffalo have been known to bully smaller Verpets, especially Grolek, seeing them as playthings. They should not be left alone with Verpets that are smaller than themselves.
Habitat
Though they dwell exclusively in the caverns underneath the Island of Verpets, their diet forces them to congregate in large underground oases in areas where the rock ceiling has fallen through and the sunlight can shine in. They do not like warm temperatures as their long fur causes them to overheat quickly.
